I came across this recipe on the McCormick site and was surprised at how easy having homemade root beer is! This is a way to enjoy it almost instantly. If you crave the old-fashioned version, made with yeast and fermented a few days, just follow the directions on the back of the root beer concentrate package.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup boiling water
1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick Root Beer Concentrate
1 liter soda water, seltzer or club soda, chilled
Instructions:
Combine sugar and boiling water; Stir until dissolved. Add root beer concentrate. Chill.
When ready to serve, combine root beer mixture with soda water. Stir slowly to mix. Serve immediately.
